Outdoor Writer Scholarship

The Indigo Creek Outdoor Writer Scholarship is given to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates an appreciation for the outdoors by writing a one to two-page essay on the value of spending time outside. The essay can take many different forms. For instance, you can write about an outdoor experience you had that influenced your life or a pursuasive essay about why our society should place higher value in outdoor recreation. Be creative and good luck.

The Fine Print

There will be one Grand Prize winner who will receive a $250 award and one rafting gift certificate for the 2012 season. One runner-up will receive a 2012 rafting gift certificate.
Applicants must be graduating seniors with plans to continue their education into college.
The deadline for submitting an essay is May 31st, 2012, and winners will be selected and notified on or before June 15th, 2012.
The essay and applicant information must be in one Microsoft Word Document. Please use Times New Roman with a font size of 12, double spaced. Above your essay and in the same document, include your full name, email address, phone number, and name and location of your high school.
Entries become the property of Indigo Creek Outfitters and may be reprinted and/or used in promotional material.
